Zephyr for JIRA

Test Management inside JIRA

Zephyr for JIRA is a JIRA Add-on that brings test management capabilities to any JIRA project. With the addition of Zephyr for JIRA, tests can be created and viewed in any JIRA project, linked to other issues, executed immediately or as part of a test cycle and detailed test metrics can be tracked.

Atlassian Teams can now create, plan, and execute tests right inside of their JIRA instance. Together, Zephyr for JIRA and JIRA enable developers, testers and the entire project team to be better prepared at every stage of the software lifecycle to plan, build, test and launch great software.

How can we help?

Installation & License

The Zephyr for JIRA application can be very easily installed via the Administration section of JIRA. Licenses can be obtained through our partnership with Atlassian

Administration

We will guide you through some of the Zephyr for JIRA specific areas that can be adminsitered, modified, or customized.

User Guide

We will help you to organize, author, manage, search, plan, execute and report on your testing activities for projects that are actively being managed in JIRA.

Writing Tests

We can help with writing or creating tests in Zephyr for JIRA in an easy, intuitive format and make it available from almost everywhere. Since tests are really JIRA issues of issue-type "test", you can clone, search, export, print, bulk modify, link, label, share, vote, or comment on them, just like you would with any other issue.

Planning Tests

We will help with basic execution planning or an elaborate structured test process ahead of time. Test Cycles will be set up and executed for tests in a structured manner. This will allow tests to be grouped logically and executed in a structured fashion and tracking of progress and reporting of quality metrics.

Executing Tests

We will start with the set up of the testing process for your project and help in executing tests in one of the following ways:

  1. Create a test and execute it right away in an ad hoc manner
  2. Create a Test Cycle, create a test and execute it right away as part of that cycle
  3. Create Test Cycles, create many tests and add them to various test cycles and then methodically execute from a cycle
