While Google Glasses never quite took off in the consumer segment for various reasons, they are experiencing a bit of resurgence within the healthcare sector. On behalf of one of our healthcare clients, we built a Proof-of-Concept around a medical transport team using Google Glasses to make a video call to E.R. to receive vital information while in transport, which can save lives in time-sensitive, emergency situations. A lot of the press and media coverage of the latest iPhone devices has been about the ARKit and how Apple is positioning the iPhone to be the “World's Largest AR Platform”. We at ATB want to be in front of this technology, so we built a Proof-of-Concept using Apple’s ARKit, which is shown in the video below.

The use case in the video below shows an eCommerce platform where you, the end customer, are using AR on your iPhone to explore how a product such as an espresso machine or kitchen blender might look and fit in your own kitchen.

Similar AR POCs can apply to any department with a related product roadmap or industry segment, such as gaming, education, training, social media, ecommerce, sports and healthcare.
